COIDA and OHS

Kelma and DEPARTMENT OF LABOUR have sign a partnership program for a year on the project of training and awareness to employees and employers of retail industry, farms and domestic workers.  The project design to educate the imployees about the compensation fund and occupational health and safety. 

Most of the employees from other above mentioned sectors don't know anything about compensation fund and it was out of the good work of project partners ke na le matla and department of labour with it's office of  compesatiion fund to help with awareness and education to those who don't have information with regard how to claim the insurance and who should claim from compensation fund.  

So far the organization have conducted 20 workshops and 15 people have been referred to the relevant department for assistance in order to claim their new case or to report unpaid claims.  

To date we were able to give workshops to following. 

Checkers and shoprite , Builders mart, material mart, cashbuild,  SA truck bodies, domestic workers, farms 

We are looking forward to extend the contract with the funding partners.
